Our hearts and thoughts are with our co-host Stephanie this week, she lives in Texas and has been facing Hurricane Harvey. Let’s let her know that we’re thinking of her, her family and everyone effected by this crazy weather! This link party is all about homemade, homemaking, DIY, recycling, upcycling, before and afters (of rooms, furniture, whatever), build projects, vintage, any kind of creative, frugal, time saving, money saving or green advice, canning and old fashioned recipes. Going back to simpler times, simpler days where we used all that we had and never bought new until there was absolutely no choice.

This link party is all about homemade, homemaking, DIY, recycling, upcycling, before and afters (of rooms, furniture, whatever), build projects, vintage.

Just been on to Stephanie’s blog to comment but notice she’s not posted this week. Do you know how badly she’s been hit by the hurricane. I hope everything is ok!

Hi Claire, this last weekend she let us know that they had limited electricity then she let us know that they were being evacuated but were still hoping that the water wouldn’t reach their home. So, we know her and her family are ok but otherwise I don’t know yet if their home is!

Tarah – thanks so much for the shout out and love. That got me chocked up for the first time all week. It’s so touching. Thanks for thinking of me and my family. It looks like we should be out of flooding risk tomorrow. Yea! My family got very lucky. A tornado even hit my next door neighbor. We didn’t even hear it. So scary. Time to clean up and help everyone get back to normal. ???

    • August 31, 2017 at 3:00 pm

Oh Stephanie I am so relieved for you, OMYGOD I can’t imagine what everyone is going through down there! As if things weren’t bad enough you have tornadoes to contend with too, good grief! So glad to hear you’re ok and you get to go home soon, thanks for keeping us updated!
