There are two things I obsess over online and that is Before and Afters of furniture (or anything really) and build projects with full on tutorials. The truth is I am NOT what I would consider a wood worker or a craftsman in any way. Yes, I have built some things that I am very proud of but I am really just a full blown novice with a working knowledge of how to use power tools. I also am easily intimidated by the idea of “building” anything from scratch and oh my gosh I have so much respect for those who do. Here are a few of those projects that I either will never attempt (but am so totally blown away by) or I am hoping to attempt myself very soon and am also totally blown away by!
Remodelaholic has one of those websites that I can get totally lost on, their countless project features and free plans go on and on and on. Go check out this very cool farm house bench tutorial, I think I might even try to build this one!
Over at Mrs Do it Yourself they put up this tutorial for an entry table that made me do an immediate double take. I had to learn more, I loved the ropes and the choice of stain! They literally took a simple project and added an incredible amount of interest and coolness!
Ok, you HAVE to go see this build complete that Shanty2Chic made!!! This tower is times two in their office with a desk in the middle (free plans for the desk to!) They create this incredible color with a combination of stain and sanding, they also painted the back braces in black and the entire thing comes together in this incredibly modern and industrial but somehow still very farm house vibe! Incredible! And nothing I would ever tackle lol – WOW!
This such a fun upcycle from Refresh Restyle! They used multiple treasures to make this bench including an old palette but it is definitely not your average palette project! I would love to have one of these out on our deck or beside our house for me in the spring!
One Little Project built these cute (and very doable even for the amateur like me!) garden planter boxes that would look so nice in just about anyone’s yard! There’s more to these then meets the eye though, they are built strong and smart to last a long time!
And now my own little build I put together this summer for our deck! I built it for a piece of granite we had from a wedding gift specifically for our little grill but, someday, it will make a great buffet! I’m not in the league of these guys I’m sharing today but someday I hope to be what I could call a real wood worker.
Thank you all for coming by, hope you found some inspiration!
