My mom has owned her own business my entire life so the idea of “doing it yourself” has certainly not been a foreign concept to me. But I think this really came to the for front for a lot of americans due to covid. People starting side hustles, figuring out how to work from own and starting their businesses I bet is up by a lot! My dream, ever since I started this blog, was for someday become a full time stay at home blogger. Every year I get closer to that mile stone and wow how exciting is that?!

There was a time when the idea of starting a business from home was considered more of a pipe dream than anything else. These days, there are so many people starting a business from home that multiple industries are filled to the brim with starry-eyed entrepreneurs.
The best part is that you can do the same thing just like them and push for a home-based business that could very well change your life. That said, keep in mind that starting a business from home does not mean you can rest on your laurels. It takes time, commitment, patience, and consistency to experience success. Here are just a few of the most popular businesses you can start from home.
The art of blogging
There’s just something about blogging that seems to make money no matter the scenario. If you happen to be a skilled writer, blogs and articles can be a surprisingly lucrative career. The good news is that there are so many ways you can get started. From a blogging website to even potentially starting a writer’s circle that eventually builds into a blogging agency, there are various ways to push forward through blogging.
Creative freelance work
It might seem like freelance work is less about starting a business and more about sharing your skills with various companies, but you are your business in that sense. If you’re skilled at what you do, you get to charge what you like, provided you’ve built a steady relationship with your clients. Whether it has to do with being an artist, a writer, or any other creative endeavor, freelance work is one of the best ways you can start a business from home.
Online tutoring
If you’re interested in sharing your talents in the form of online tutoring, there are plenty of opportunities to experience success starting a business as an online teacher. While it might take plenty of time and effort to get things started — such as dealing with Massachusetts business insurance if you operate in the area — it is well worth the time and effort. In addition, starting a business with online tutoring as the basis can expand into something meaningful, provided you are committed.
Web design
Many people outside of business management rarely understand the importance of web design in the current industry. Without proper web design, a business cannot compete with its peers, as web design is the last line of marketing defense. You can have as fantastic a marketing campaign as you possibly can, but it still won’t work out too well if you don’t take the time to optimize your website. Such is the reason why starting a business in web design is one of the best choices for those who work from home.
The best part is that there are still so many different jobs you can take from home. You can start a business at your pace and expand slowly but surely by connecting with others. It’s even possible to start a business where you work with staff from all over.
