December 2024 – I fell down the Amazon pillow rabbit hole…

December 2024 – This may be the strangest post I’ve ever typed out lol. It all started with a post on Reddit about a girl who spilled some wine on a pillow and refused to replace it for full value. Because, apparently, it wasn’t just any pillow… it was a $70 pillow shaped like a carrot. Sounds ridiculous. I looked it up and the level of adorable that they managed to create in said carrot (and the other vegetables you could buy with it) was absolutely ridiculous. So I headed to Amazon out of curiosity because… I shamefully kind of wanted one.

This trend has extended from vegetables to plants to fruits to animals and to flowers. And they’re somehow very much “adult” for something that’s basically a stuffy…

How are these pillows not JUST stuffed animals?

Well, they’re not!

I feel like someone got into the adult conscious and decided we all secretly want stuffed animals back in our lives but needed a practical application to justify buying them for ourselves…

Well, they certainly have me figured out I guess.

I had five on my wishlist and bought four as gifts this year!

(No, not for $70! Most of them were around $20.)

I think the least “pillow” of the bunch was the one I purchased for Lodi that is still totally a pillow but also somehow totally our dog Link. (Complete with tongue out and everything lol.)

My aunt got the black cat, my Mom the blueberries and her bf got the bigfoot pillow.

I’m starting to consider this may be the perfect gift idea. They’re affordable and there are so many flipping varieties it would be easy enough to find a pillow for just about anyone…
