I feel like as a society we’re becoming more frugal and less material which I think is fantastic. Everyone always gave me a hard time because I never had anything “fun” on my wish list. I guess no one really wants to buy someone sand paper lol but I personally would MUCH rather buy something for someone that they not only want, but can ACTUALLY use! Even better gifts of experience is becoming a very popular “trend” that I hope sticks around for good! My family long ago decided to skip gifts entirely for the adults but we are all encouraged to bring a favorite unique food for everyone to try!

In my experience, shopping for a gift for a homebody can be a little nerve-wracking. They already have all they need within their space, so what else can you get them? Experience gifts are the perfect solution. They can be enjoyed at home even without stepping outside the door.

Whether it’s a warm and toasty virtual cooking class, a luxurious virtual wine tasting, or a day of relaxation at home, these unique experiences are curated for the homebody who enjoys in-home peace. If you want to make memories that will be cherished, consider picking experience gifts from Giftory where you can find a variety of wonderful moments to enjoy at home.

Home Spa Days

Create a peaceful sanctuary in the comfort of your loved one’s home with a spa day gift. Be sure to add some scented candles, essential oils and carrier oils, bath salts, and warm towels to your gift basket to make it whole. What more calming experience is there than to sit in a warm bubble bath with the smell of lavender and get a massage afterwards in the comfort of your own home? This experience will never go out of style and will always bring peace and comfort into their life and they will be thankful.

Virtual Cooking Classes

If your loved one loves being at home and appreciates some good, home-cooked meals,  this is for them—virtual cooking classes. You can gift them a chef-led course in the comfort of their home, where they can make new dishes from top chefs from around the world, improve their cooking skills, and enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner in the comfort of their own kitchen. This can be done on their own time, or they can share with friends and family virtually.

At-Home Wine Tasting

Gift your loved one home wine tasting. You can prepare a gift bag with a couple of bottles of wine, a made list of tasting notes, and food pairings, swish, smell, and sip on a couple of glasses. This educational experience can be done over time so they can learn to taste wine as a pro. Add tasty meat and cheese and crackers for the full experience.

DIY Craft Kits

A DIY craft kit is the perfect experience gift for your artsy friend. These kits include all the tools and instructions to make beautiful art, jewelry, and other home decor. Designing an object with your hands sparks joy and excitement, even if you’re only an amateur. Whether painting, knitting, or even building, there’s a kit for almost every project.

Movie Night Experience

One thing someone who loves staying in is guaranteed to appreciate is a movie night experience. Use a projector to transform the home into their own personal theater. Include some cozy throws and all of their favorite snacks. They can also binge-watch a few picks of their favorite movies or films that just came out in the theater. You can also put together a themed snack pack, with popcorn, candy, and a few bottles to add more stars to their plate. This is one of the amazing gifts for homebodies.

Home Fitness Experience

A virtual fitness experience gift for the athletic homebody is a marvelous idea. This gift could include a virtual fitness class subscription, resistance bands, yoga mats, and videos. Just imagine waking up to a guided yoga stretch every morning, rather than to the usual screeching sound of an alarm. Or an intense HIIT workout with you and an invisible instructor in the comfort of their living room.

Virtual Escape Rooms

A virtual escape room is an awesome, unique gift for a homebody because it lets them solve puzzles, find clues, and work through challenges all without ever leaving home. They can even “meet up” with family and friends from their own homes so it’s a really fun, interactive activity for a group. Whether they’re investigating a haunted house, cracking codes, or escaping from a mysterious island, virtual escape rooms provide edge-of-your-seat entertainment and keep the brain working. It’s a role-playing game or video game come to life, only better!

Personalized Book Club

A personalized book club experience allows you to collect some books that your loved one will like. Add a few other objects like a book light, cute bookmark, and their favorite warm drink. A journal is also an excellent addition to the gift so they can write about their experiences while enjoying the club!

Music Lessons at Home

For music lovers, a gift of virtual music lessons is at the top of the list. If this person wants to start a new journey and learn an instrument or if they’re just bored and want to brush up on their skills, music lessons will go a long way. It’s a great learning experience and universal instructors can still provide one-on-one information, despite the screen between them.

Experience gifts provide a way to show you care, especially if your giftee is an at-home person. Going for one of the experiences for home ideas from Giftory means you’re giving more than a gift; you’re creating special moments. So, next time you’re buying a gift, remember the ones that never need to leave home.
