New Faucet Install in our Master Bathroom. I’ve got a whole post coming out in awhile devoted to me having to fight my frugal self. This is a perfect example of just how long I will put up with something as long as it “technically” works. Our master bathroom faucet was pretty and I liked it… However, it splashed the heck out of the wall behind it. I tried different little filters etc. and nothing helped. I have no doubt the fact that we have a vessel sink also contributed to this situation… Its been seven years lol.

So I added a new faucet for the bathroom to my Xmas Wishlist. (If someone else buys it for me I don’t feel as bad.)

Lodi spotted it and got it for me for Xmas because he was thrilled I finally gave in! (Click here to see it on Amazon I think for far less than $100 it was on heck of a deal.)

So, way too many months later, I finally got around to installing it.

I often forget how simply a faucet is to replace, especially in this case as I didn’t have to modify our vanity at all I just had to do a swap.

First I turned the water lines off and then unscrewed them. Then I uninstalled the old faucet by unscrewing it under the vanity at its base. That was it,

Moving on to the new faucet I slid it in place of the old faucet, threaded the large bolt into place and tightened it down, making sure to center it as best I could.

Then I simply hooked the new water lines back up and turned the water on.

No leaks and BAM a major improvement!

Do we still splash the wall a little?

Yeah and that’s pretty much due to the vessel sink and our vanity being so tall – both things I am VERY happy to live with.

All in I think our new faucet actually fits in better to the room and improved our “splashy” situation by at least 90 percent!

The new faucet has a vintage look. It fits in with your sink and vanity. I recently had the waterfall single handle faucet installed. My Husband selected it and I either got it off ebay or Amazon. I like it, but they are known to get hard water build up. I dry the water off the spout and handle everytime I use it so the hard water doesn’t get a chance to build up. I was going to buy a faucet like yours, but you have to let your husband have some wins. It’s funny how many compliments I get on the faucet he picked. That bathroom is nice, but the faucet is all that is ever mentioned. Do you think my husband is paying these people off?
