There is just an incredible amount of flooring options out there these days. I helped my boss pick out a linoleum for a little renovation they did at my day job. I was stunned at the quality and beauty of what we saw. Oftentimes its mistaken for real tile even though it was just sheet vinyl. Very impressive! I our home we have almost nothing but wood floors throughout and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Starting in on our tiny main floor bathroom floors and a thorough cleaning and assessment of this neglected space so its not so embarrassing!

If you’re looking to sell your home, you’ll want to take steps to make it more appealing to potential buyers. One easy way to increase the value of your home is by choosing high-quality flooring options that will look pleasing and help protect against damage from spills or accidents.

There are various flooring options available, and it can be difficult to choose one that suits your home. Your perfect choice will depend on the size of your living space, the type of furniture you have, and other factors. Below are the top flooring options that can boost your home value and maximize your return on investment when selling your property.

1.      Tile Flooring

Tile is a popular choice for homeowners who want a low-maintenance option. Tile floors are stain-resistant and can be installed easily. Tiles create a very durable base, one of its most significant advantages. They’re also easier to replace than other materials if you have any issues down the line. In terms of appearance, tiles come in various colors and styles that work with any home design.

2.      Hardwood Flooring

The wood floor is excellent for homes with high foot traffic. Hardwood floors, such as walnut or oak, add a classic elegance to any room in your home. They’re beautiful and timeless and easy to clean, making them an ideal choice for homeowners who want their flooring to stand out while retaining value. If you want an all-natural floor that will likely last a lifetime without expensive maintenance, hardwood is a good option.

Additionally, wood flooring options come in many different styles, so you can find something that matches your existing decor. Most people choose engineered wood floors as a cost-effective alternative to natural wood planks, which may add even more value if you decide to sell your home down the road.

3.      Laminate Flooring

Laminate floors are some of the most popular options for home improvement projects, since they’re a great budget option. Laminate flooring is durable, stain-resistant, easy to clean and maintain. Most homeowners choose laminate floors over hardwood or tile when planning a redecorating project.

This floor is often sold as pre-finished flooring panels that snap together perfectly, making it easy to complete a remodel quickly. If you invest just a little time and effort to maintain your floor, your laminate flooring will flawlessly boost your home’s value and make it stand out from the competitive real estate market.

4.      Linoleum Flooring

Linoleum has recently resurfaced as an eco-friendly and stylish flooring solution. Linoleum flooring is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a cost-effective alternative to other types of flooring. It’s naturally antimicrobial and resistant to stains.

There are also a variety of linoleum styles available for you to choose from. While it’s much cheaper than hardwood floors, linoleum is just as durable and long-lasting. While some linoleum may be easily scuffed or damaged by heavy furniture or rough play, many new varieties can stand up to most family wear and tear.

Endnote

Flooring can make or break the feel of a room, but it also has other benefits that you may not have realized. In addition to making your home look and feel homier, flooring can also significantly boost the value of your property. This is an exceptional advantage if you’re considering selling a home in the future.
