It’s Day 2 – DIY Gift Ideas! As often as I can I prefer to make a gift as opposed to buying it. So day 2 of the Christmas blog hop was right up my ally! Today I’m making something for my five co-workers that I know they’ll love. Every year I make and giveaway foot scrubs, homemade lotions and body butters and every year I get requests for the recipes. This one is SO simple and this year I made it especially for the holidays by adding essential oils of cinnamon, eucalyptus and clove!

Relaxing Homemade Foot Soak and Scrub. A lovely handmade gift for just about anyone! I love being able to make something people can actually use as a present for the holidays.
I’ve used this soak many times for myself before bed and even added a large helping straight to a bath and soaked my whole self in it.
The essential oils I used for this batch were totally in the holiday spirit! When I make it for myself I use more calming oils like lavender and cedar wood.
Of course you don’t need to add essential oils at all, this is a great (and gentle) soak and scrub for your whole body.
Like with the majority of my gifts I give them in a jar as often as I can. I added a little holiday tag using twine with “foot soak or scrub” written in it.
On the lid I added a cute little snowflake sticker.
You can use this in the obvious way by dissolving it in hot water and soaking in it. OR, you can add a smaller amount of water (making a paste) and use it as a scrub for any place you would like to use it.
I find its wonderful for both your feet AND your hands (my poor knuckles – I’ve banged them up so bad at this point that they require a good scrub once a week.)
The baking soda is an awesomely gentle scrubber!
I always get requests for more after the xmas gifts have been exchanged!

Thank you Jenny, hope you had a lovely holiday!
I love a good foot scrub and this has awesome ingredients! Pinned for later.
Thanks Donna, and it was so easy to make for something that is so luxurious. I can’t wait to get them away for xmas this year!
Tarah, I love this! There’s nothing more relaxing and invigorating all at the same time than soaking and scrubbing and lotioning one’s feet and then putting them into fluffy socks! I need to make this. Thank you for hosting #ToGrandmasHouseWeGo.
Hi Jean, I try to do that to my feet at least a couple of times a month, I swear they just thank me for it!
