I love the idea of adding plants to create natural elements and feelings in a home but some of these tips take it even further. Who doesn’t love bay windows? My mom has me currently designing here dream house and one of her absolute MUST haves was a large, east facing, bay window. Inside the bay (that would be flooded with morning light) she’ll be putting a small table to enjoy the morning with her coffee.

If it is time for a makeover then what better way to make your home look better than by incorporating a few natural elements into the overall décor? We know, you could just opt to add a few indoor house plants and call it adding a “natural touch” to your home. But if you are looking for more detailed ideas and suggestions, then do read on.

Natural Element

There are various ways to add a natural touch to your home than the erstwhile indoor plants. You can incorporate a natural rock wall into one part of your home which would make the whole room stand out. And even better if you could incorporate a small running waterfall over the rock wall, it would add that extra buzz to the room. 

You can also go in for mahogany flooring, but do remember that mahogany flooring often requires a lot of maintenance. And if you are prepared to put in the work, then that’s one of the best choices as far as the flooring goes. It should lend your whole home that antique or rustic look, and you can further complement the same with modern furniture and the right accessories. 

Bricks

You can use bricks, and leave them exposed on one of the walls while painting them to match the color scheme of the house. Want more ideas? There are various ways in which you can incorporate bricks into the interior décor and enhance the value of your property. 

You can leave the bricks naked and stacked up on one side of your walls, or you can paint them in different shades depending upon the room you are decorating. Trust us when we say this, “Adding bricks to your home can improve its overall appeal.

Wooden Furniture

The furniture you use for your home can make or break its interior decor. Make sure to invest in the right furniture. Whether you like contemporary or modern furniture, if you want to keep it natural, we recommend using wooden furnishings instead of metal or hard plastic. You could opt for teak wood or Mahogany furniture or white cedar or sal wood.

But make sure that the furniture is varnished and polished so that it literally shines out. 

Diversify

Want to bring nature to every room in the house? Well, that’s totally possible.

You may want to diversify the various natural elements that you plan on incorporating all over your home. From Zen fountains to indoor plants and Bonsai gardens, there’s a lot you can do to add a natural vibe to your room, living room, or outdoor area. There’s no creative limit to what you can do to make your home stand out from the rest in the area.

And diversifying the various natural elements can make the space look even more spectacular.

Natural Light

The one “natural touch” that your home needs, is a lot of natural light. Make sure that your remodeling includes constructing large bay windows in the living room along with a small skylight, which enables natural light to flood the room each morning. Similarly, you can also include large French windows for the other rooms and make sure that they are all well illuminated with natural light.

Cost

Remodeling has attained a lot of traction in the past few years. With an abundant demand and supply in the market, the need for sustainable remodeling has arisen. And while it may cost a little more to incorporate natural elements with the rest of your home, if you search carefully you may find cheaper decorative items.
