With the commencing of my Operation BLISSFULLY HAPPY a lot has changed here in my little farmhouse and ALL of it has been toward becoming, you guessed it, BLISSFULLY HAPPY! Storyhardt Farm became my farm’s new name with a new sign to go with it so it only seemed right to give my blog a facelift too! I hope you guys like it and I hope it works better for everyone now, makes it easier to get around and, most importantly, I hope it gets you to what you’re looking for faster than ever! *breaks a figurative champagne bottle on the side of her monitor* I christen you: Storyhardt Farm!

(If things look broken or weird try hitting the refresh button on your browser this can also be done by holding down the Ctrl+R keys on your keyboard or the Ctrl+F5 keys – if that doesn’t do it please send me an email and let me know! Thank you!! tarahlynn@grandmashousediy.com)

Grandma’s House DIY has grown by leaps and bounds and totally surpassed all of my hopes and expectations. I posted my first ever blog income report. My blog went from making about $150 in November of 2017 to over $900 in January of 2018! The only real explanation I could ever find was the ending of a poisonous relationship because, sometime in the long dark days of December of 2017, the very month I got divorced, the blog exploded in a good way.

So, it only seemed right to say that my new life, Storyhardt farm, this website, everything, was truly established on 12/15/17 – the day my divorce was final, the day my Grandma’s house became totally mine. There was a lot of trials for me over the winter of 2017-2018, many days where I REALLY didn’t want to “Adult” anymore and some days I just gave myself permission to not get out of bed. But, eventually, I realized that there was nothing in my way anymore and everything suddenly looked different and I changed many many things.

Things that had bothered me for YEARS, I changed and I fixed them. I went back to the plan I had originally for this home and my whole life and I TACKLED IT. I moved my office into my entry way, my office became by guest bedroom, my entire master floor got a whole new face lift (coming up soon!), my old guest bedroom is about to become my workshop and my basement became my future rental suite again. I made plans (that I can’t wait to execute!) to make my life easier next winter, moving the wood closer, going to get affordable backup heat, plans to save money and how best to spend it.

Often, I am reminded how all of this would have been impossible with him in my life. It is a reminder that I will always keep on the front of my home and now on this blog with its new design in the est. date of 12/15/17 – the day I got my chance at BLISSFULLY HAPPY. So, hopefully, the kinks are all ironed out and the new site design is working well for everyone! Spring is finally (technically) here and I just can’t wait for summer! Hopefully we all have some BLISSFULLY HAPPY to look forward to!!

Storyhardt Farm est. 12/15/17 Welcome to Grandma's House! Storyhardt Farm est. 12/15/17 Welcome to Grandma's House! With my divorce finally ending it was time to give not only my home and my whole life a makeover but it was just the right time to give this blog a new site design too!
