Welcome to the To Grandma’s House We Go Link Party #150. Well, its basically August and my garden has started producing cucumbers like crazy. I purchased all my canning supplies and am ready to go. I haven’t yet worked up the courage to can “for real” but my refrigerator pickles from a couple years ago lasted until I ate the last jar nearly a year later. So that’s the plan this year, lots of refrigerator pickles and green beans too. My pepper plants have basically done nothing… not sure what happened there. It may have been the weather though because I’ve heard I’m not the only one whose pepper plants stayed babies lol On to the Party!

This blogger party is all about you sharing your posts about homemade, homemaking, DIY, recycling, upcycling, before and afters (of rooms, furniture, whatever), build projects, vintage, any kind of creative, frugal, time saving, money saving or green advice, canning and old fashioned recipes. Going back to simpler times, simpler days where we used all that we had and never bought new until there was absolutely no choice.

There will be features every week and they will be pinned on the To Grandma’s House We Go Pinterest page. The party will be shared on Facebook and Twitter and will be in the Grandma’s House Weekly DIY Newsletter!

Rules:

* Up to 3 links per person.
* Please only submit “new” posts: they don’t have to be new on your blog but they need to be new to Link Party #150!

Thank you for hosting! This week I’ve shared a few family recipes, a homemade Kahlua recipe (great for gifts) and how I streamline making tomato sauce from fresh tomatoes. Maybe you can give this one a try for your first canning adventure ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a great week!

I love it when my garden is ripe and ready to eat. I do some canning, but we really love eating the produce right out of the garden. (I figure that the more my family eats out of the garden, the less canning that I have to do)! Thank you for hosting the party.

Thanks Amy, isn’t it just so wonderful to have fresh produce at hand!? My last week of meals was fresh beats and fresh cucumbers, so lovely! I’ll starting making pickles when I can’t keep up with eating the cucumbers lol

Your peonies are gorgeous! Mine were gone by the first of June. Maybe that’s because where I live in Utah is hotter than where you live!!

Thank you Nina! And my peonies are on my west side of the fence so even for around here all of my mine bloomed late, but so totally worth the wait!
