Welcome to the To Grandma’s House We Go Link Party #151. Finally this weekend I didn’t have to leave the house! Summer weekends are always so crazy I’m to the point now where I have to schedule weekends in where I can just STAY HOME no matter what lol. My mom came over and we picked cucumbers and made ten quarts of refrigerator pickles and, of course, totally stuffed ourselves on fresh cucumbers while we were at it. My garden has just begun really producing for me, its just amazing to have fresh vegetables every day for dinner. I also finally added two beams and four posts to underneath my deck, I also cemented them in. Its been on my to do list since this spring when I noticed a little bit of sag and bounce that was driving me crazy! Even with all the activities I could be doing, honestly, just being home has really become my very favorite thing. I hope you’re all having a wonderful summer, on to the Party!

This blogger party is all about you sharing your posts about homemade, homemaking, DIY, recycling, upcycling, before and afters (of rooms, furniture, whatever), build projects, vintage, any kind of creative, frugal, time saving, money saving or green advice, canning and old fashioned recipes. Going back to simpler times, simpler days where we used all that we had and never bought new until there was absolutely no choice.

There will be features every week and they will be pinned on the To Grandma’s House We Go Pinterest page. The party will be shared on Facebook and Twitter and will be in the Grandma’s House Weekly DIY Newsletter!

Rules:

* Up to 3 links per person.
* Please only submit “new” posts: they don’t have to be new on your blog but they need to be new to us!

Isn’t it wonderful when you can just stay home? I’m a bit jealous that you got your pickles done. I love pickles and I have to admit that we may be eating our cucumbers too fast to be able to make pickles. Thank you for hosting the party. Have a great week.

Amy, between my aunt, my mom and me I knew we would eat up most of my fresh cucumbers so I planted lots and lots lol I’m hoping I’ll have enough to make at least another 20 quarts!

Tarah, you’re amazing! I need you to come here and teach me some repair skills (translation: DO the repairs for me!). How I’d love to have been there eating cucumbers and making pickles with you and your mother! My recipe today is a vegetable you might have in your garden.

Thanks so much Jean! It feels so good to just be home and get things done around the house, July I felt like I was hardly even in my own kitchen at all! But summer time is always like that around here, planning on taking most of August to really be home and get some more things done. Happy Summer!

Thank you Tarah for your 151st Wednesday Link Party. Your raised garden is so happy and productive – your watering system was worth the time and effort too.
