Welcome to the To Grandma’s House We Go link party. I was so excited for this last weekend, I haven’t had a TON of time to really work on my house and with the weather already turning I took this last Monday off so I could have three days to really get some things done before winter. And then Saturday morning rolled around and I had a bonfire in my throat, I couldn’t swallow, I hurt everywhere and all I wanted to do was cry but it hurt too much to cry. It hit me so hard and so fast it was just crazy! My high tempt that afternoon hit 102.9. My best friend was seconds from throwing me in a cold shower or rushing me to the ER.

I got my fever down and obviously I lived through it though there were several moments when I didn’t really want to. My fever broke late Sunday and I finally found the right ratio of vitamins, salt gargling, honey lemon tea and over the counter cold medication that I could actually sleep.

So, I managed to get back to work bright and early on Tuesday so I never missed a day!

Not sure if I’m glad or mad that my summer fever landed on my three day weekend. On one hand I didn’t miss any work on the other hand I live in MN and losing any weekend in the summer is just such a bummer!

Anyway, I’m glad I lived to tell the tale lol now, on to the party!

This blogger party is all about you sharing your posts about homemade, homemaking, DIY, recycling, upcycling, before and afters (of rooms, furniture, whatever), build projects, vintage, any kind of creative, frugal, time saving, money saving or green advice, canning and old fashioned recipes. Going back to simpler times, simpler days where we used all that we had and never bought new until there was absolutely no choice.

There will be features every week and they will be pinned on the To Grandma’s House We Go Pinterest page. The party will be shared on Facebook and Twitter and will be in the Grandma’s House Weekly DIY Newsletter!

Rules:

* Up to 3 links per person.
* Please only submit “new” posts: they don’t have to be new on your blog but they need to be new to us!
* MUST be a link to a blog post and not your home page.
* Other link parties or submission places are welcome as long as they are within the theme.
* Make sure you check out a few other links too while you’re here!

Thanks so much Karren! I’m wondering now that you mentioned it if that cold front that just moved in wasn’t actually what may have caused my sickness. It was a major change in temperature that’s for sure! Always love to see your posts, thanks for coming by 🙂
