Welcome to the To Grandma’s House We Go Link Party #160. I keep seeing this post on Facebook that I think is hilarious: “This time of the year my family and I play a fun game of how long can we freeze before we finally turn the heat on!” I wish I could share it but us Minnesotans have had our heat on for weeks now lol. We had our first major freeze awhile ago and its been dipping down into the 40s for a couple weeks. We also have our first major chance of snow this weekend. Fortunately though, its looking like we’re not plowing into winter quite yet and still have some decent fall days on the way! Now, on to the Party!

This blogger party is all about you sharing your posts about homemade, homemaking, DIY, recycling, upcycling, before and afters (of rooms, furniture, whatever), build projects, vintage, any kind of creative, frugal, time saving, money saving or green advice, canning and old fashioned recipes. Going back to simpler times, simpler days where we used all that we had and never bought new until there was absolutely no choice.

There will be features every week and they will be pinned on the To Grandma’s House We Go Pinterest page. The party will be shared on Facebook and Twitter and will be in the Grandma’s House Weekly DIY Newsletter!

Rules:

* Up to 3 links per person.
* Please only submit “new” posts: they don’t have to be new on your blog but they need to be new to us!
* MUST be a link to a blog post and not your home page.
* Other link parties or submission places are welcome as long as they are within the theme.
* Make sure you check out a few other links too while you’re here!
* You MUST follow us on at least one social platform.

Our furnace has been running for a few weeks too, Tarah and we got our first snowfall the other day but thankfully it melted. I’m not ready for winter, but then I say that every year. LOL Love the features!

Thanks for the party!! So funny about the heating. Here in Connecticut we’re trying not to turn the heat on yet. It’s been cold (for us) but I’m holding off. Darn heating oil bill! You probably don’t spend as much for air conditioning in the summer, though. Anyway, I’m following on Instagram. I try to follow all hostesses. Best to you, Linda @Crafts a la mode

Hi Linda, yep I actually don’t even own an air conditioner lol just a fan in the window all summer long. I tell people I don’t have air conditioning because I’m soaking up the heat for winter!
