Welcome to the To Grandma’s House We Go Link Party #214. Well it happened hard and fast: winter is here. Snow is on the ground and we’re staring down maybe getting up to a foot this weekend! WTH! Hopefully *crosses fingers* this is not the end of our fall weather and may still see some highs in the upper 30s and 40s once this cold front and winter storm moves through. We tackled some pretty hard core projects this weekend right in the nick of time and actually managed to get a new door in! How are you guys fairing? Now, on to the Party!
CALLING ALL BLOGGERS!! The first Sunday of every month is our DIY Blog Hop. For more information on the themes, dates and how to join – Click Here!
This link party is all about you sharing your posts about homemade, homemaking, DIY, recycling, upcycling, before and afters (of rooms, furniture, whatever), build projects, vintage, any kind of creative, frugal, time saving, money saving or green advice, canning and old fashioned recipes.
Going back to simpler times, simpler days where we used all that we had and never bought new until there was absolutely no choice.
* Up to 3 links per person.
* Make sure you check out a few other links while you’re here!
* You MUST follow me on at least one social platform: Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest or Twitter
(By linking up you’re giving me permission to feature you in the next party by including your post URL and one of your images. You are also giving me permission to share one of your images across all of my social media platforms and in the Grandma’s House weekly DIY newsletter to promote the party.)
Tips to get featured: Have an Instagram account! (I love being able to tag the blogger on Instagram when I feature them.) And images really are everything, having great eye catching images is another trick to getting featured!
I’m sad to say that link parties are becoming a thing of the past…
Lots of bloggers have stopped hosting and stopped joining as they aren’t seeing benefit to their SEO or traffic numbers.
How do I feel about this? I would really miss you guys! I’ve been hosting this party for over 200 weeks so, for now, as long as you guys keep sharing, I do plan on keeping the party going.

Woot woot, thanks for the stacked pumpkin feature, Tarahlynn! Heading over to see your cool basement flooring next. Hope your week’s been a good one so far. xo
Thanks for sharing with us!
Thank you so much for hosting. Hope you are having a wonderful week so far!
Hi Cindy, thanks for joining us!
Sorry for ALLTHE SNOW! We’ve dodged it here in Michigan so far, my fingers are crossed. ๐
Interesting question as I just linked up for the first time in a LONG time. In my 8 years, I’ve been faithful hosting and attending link parties for most of the time except for the last 2 years for family reasons. Hopefully, I’ll stick with it a bit and let you know how it does or doesn’t impact me. If you have a current listing of active parties you love, would you email me? TXXXX!!
Diane, thank you for joining us so hope you don’t see the snow like we have! I’m sorry to say I no longer have a list of active link parties as between hosting and life I too had to give them up a while back.
Hello Tara, thank you so much for the feature of my Oatmeal & Honey solid sugar scrub. Also, thank you so much for hosting the link party each week.
Thanks for sharing with us Jasmine, hope the feature sends some traffic your way!
Thank for featuring cook clean repeat this week. And thank you for hosting. Hope you have a wonderful week.
Thanks Michele, you too!
Thank you for featuring our Sloppy Joes with Chicken Gumbo. It is a nice alternative to tomato based Sloppy Joes. You have snow? It got cold here, but I have to admit that we do not have snow. I guess that we do need some moisture, but I am not ready for snow. Our links this week are: #72, #73, & #74.
Thanks Amy, those Sloppy Joes are a great idea, can’t wait to try them!
