Welcome to the To Grandma’s House We Go Link Party #224. I have to admit, though I missed seeing our extended family, being forced to stick close to home and have a quiet Xmas this year was not a bad thing. In fact, this is probably my favorite Xmas I have ever had. We really just took it easy and actually FELT like we got a vacation! None of the crazy anxiety and endless traveling of past holidays! Not such a bad thing! I hope you all had a good holiday as well, happy new year! Now, on to the Party!
CALLING ALL BLOGGERS!! The first Sunday of every month is our DIY Blog Hop. For more information on the themes, dates and how to join – Click Here!
This link party is all about you sharing your posts about homemade, homemaking, DIY, recycling, upcycling, before and afters (of rooms, furniture, whatever), build projects, vintage, any kind of creative, frugal, time saving, money saving or green advice, canning and old fashioned recipes.
Going back to simpler times, simpler days where we used all that we had and never bought new until there was absolutely no choice.
* Up to 3 links per person.
* Make sure you check out a few other links while you’re here!

You are also giving me permission to share one of your images across all of my social media platforms and in the Grandma’s House weekly DIY newsletter to promote the party.)
Tips to get featured: Have an Instagram account! (I love being able to tag the blogger on Instagram when I feature them.) And images really are everything, having great eye catching images is another trick to getting featured!

I’m sad to say that link parties are becoming a thing of the past…
Lots of bloggers have stopped hosting and stopped joining as they aren’t seeing benefit to their SEO or traffic numbers.
How do I feel about this? I would really miss you guys! I’ve been hosting this party for over 200 weeks so, for now, as long as you guys keep sharing, I do plan on keeping the party going.

Your soup looked wonderful Melissa, I loved your choice of using Orzo to change it up a bit! I sometimes use quinoa in our soups just for something different. Hope you have a wonderful new year!
Thank you for hosting the party. It is nice to have a little time to relax instead of being all stressed out about the holidays. Maybe we will all learn to relax a little more! Our links this week are: #58, #59, & #60. Happy New Year.
Thanks Amy I totally agree, maybe we can find a better balance once everything returns to “normal” and remember that less traveling, less stressful holidays are kinda nice!
Thank you for sharing your link parties.
Thanks for joining us Rebecca!
