Welcome to the To Grandma’s House We Go Link Party #514. Ooof, are you guys getting hit by this insane surface-of-the-sun wave of blisteringly crazy temps? I have gotten basically no yard work done and have returned to my soap box begging the Universe to give us rain. Horribly the insane smoke we’re getting hit with from Canada’s wild fires is actually cutting down our temps by hazing out the sun which is appreciated but the air quality in my neighborhood is terrible. Now, on to the party!
This link party is about all of us sharing homemade, homemaking, DIY, recycling, upcycling, before and afters (of rooms, furniture, whatever), build projects, vintage, any kind of creative, frugal, time saving, money saving or green advice, canning and old fashioned recipes. Going back to simpler times, simpler days where we used all that we had and never bought new until there was absolutely no choice.
I’m sad to say that lots of bloggers have stopped hosting link parties but I would really miss you guys! I’ve been hosting this party for over 400 weeks, so as long as you guys keep sharing, I’ll keep this party going!

Thanks for sharing with us Amy, love your garden!
Tarahlynn, thank you for hosting. We definitely are getting hit with these crazy high temps, and just like you mentioned, not getting any yard work done. Same, lol. I have avoided going out and doing any work in our yard.
Thank you for sharing with us Stephanie. Yep, I usually love the heat but this has too much even for me lol especially when it comes to yard work!
Tarah, thanks so much for hosting, stay cool, we are having heat in East Texas as well!
Thank you for joining us Melynda!
Thanks so much for the party, Tarahlynn! I’ve been thinking of you, your community and those fighting the fires a lot since last week as the wildfires spread. We felt it with the smoke and “hazardous” air quality here in the Twin Cities and at the lake in northern Wisconsin but I knew it was undoubtedly much worse where you are. I hope relief comes soon for all involved!
Yeah the air quality has been just terrible, I can’t imagine what it must be like up in the boundary waters and duluth area! Thanks for joining us every week Laura!
