Welcome to the To Grandma’s House We Go Link Party #482. I kind of hate that we’re officially in the time of year now that a high in the 20s feels warm lol but we’re not far from the shortest day of the year and then everything does start feeling a bit better! Today I’m taking my dad in to get surgery on his shoulder. It isn’t a high risk surgery but, of course, I’m still super worried. I would so appreciate it if you sent some good vibes our way! Now, on to the party!
This link party is about all of us sharing homemade, homemaking, DIY, recycling, upcycling, before and afters (of rooms, furniture, whatever), build projects, vintage, any kind of creative, frugal, time saving, money saving or green advice, canning and old fashioned recipes. Going back to simpler times, simpler days where we used all that we had and never bought new until there was absolutely no choice.
I’m sad to say that lots of bloggers have stopped hosting link parties but I would really miss you guys! I’ve been hosting this party for over 400 weeks, so as long as you guys keep sharing, I’ll keep this party going!

What I’ve been up to this week: Throwing back to when I scored a Rocking Chair at an Estate Sale

Tarahlynn, thanks for the party! I hope you are doing well.
Thanks for sharing with us Steph!
My family will be sending good thoughts and prayers for your Father. Hope he recovers quickly from the surgery. Wishing you and your family a very happy holiday season.

Thank you!! Have a good weekend!
Thanks for hosting the party and letting us share a slice of your life each week. I have that same black rocker which was either my mom’s or my grandmother’s (they had a lot of the same furniture, so not sure who’s it was ~ same with dining room table & breakfront). But mine has gold scroll painted across the top. It’s gone from house to house with us, and there’s always a spot to put it! Catch y’all again next week!
Cindy this rocker also had gold inlay painted across the top! Thinking we’ve got the exact same rocker lol I spray painted it black just to give it a new look. And, yep, I can totally see how there will always be a spot for it. As far as rockers go its sturdy and comfortable.
Good morning, Tara, thanks for this party. Happy Hump Day
